I purchased this item for a costume I had built (I am an actor). It needed to be capable of expanding for a good real of material and needed to be longer (I'm tall 6'4"). The description for this item is correct - as far as it goes. The material is not as strong as the material they make the 99 cent bags you buy in the grocery stores now. I strongly doubt that this bag will survive more than a couple of years. I have bags made of a nylon material that have survived almost two decades of hard use and are still going strong.

The "expanding gusset" is in the bottom third of the bag. Not very helpful for what I needed. I would imagine that if a wedding dress had shoulders or any sort of decoration on the top this bag would not protect that area from crushing.

Definitely NOT worth more than $10.

This wedding dress bag was just what I had been looking for. All the bags I found in stores were too short and I had to scrunch up the bottom of the dress. This bag is roomy enough for a long dress (wedding, prom, bridesmaid, mother of the bride) The dresses that I was going to use the bag for were not full (no princess skirt) so there was plenty of room. The bag will keep the dresses clean and dust free and I won't worry about transporting them to the wedding venue. Just what I was looking for!
