My mother's best friend is a retired seamstress, and she recognized the fabric right away... I can't remember exactly, but if I'm not mistaken she mentioned something about a combination of taffeta and China silk... But I might be wrong. So, the dress passed the test, and I'll be ordering the other 4 dresses as soon as I get the girls' sizes. When the dress arrived I was HORRIFIED! The dress was made out of what can only be described as "rain coat material." It was stiff and plastic-like and CHEAP! It's not even close to Taffeta! This dress is such a DISAPPOINTMENT because the cut is great and the color is too (Navy blue) but the material is what breaks the deal. |
