I'm a normal size 12 in jeans, 40C bra size, 12-14 in misses dresses, I ordered a XL and it fits great. It has a bit of stretch to it so don't order it to big if you want a fitted sexy look. I wasn't quite sure if all the runching (esp on the butt) would look right but honestly- it's great. I'm very top heavy and it holds the girls in just fine, and I can wear a real bra with it because the straps are decent (I love that). But my friend also got this dress and is like a B cup and it looks great on her as well. Im ordering it in another color right now because I like it so much. (And because I haven't quite worked off the 5 pounds I gained during christmas lol) This dress is a great rescue for that. The hem was sewn with three different colored threads! The left strap of the dress had a snag on it. I had to send it to the cleaners so they could work on the snag. The hem had lots of loose threads hanging from the dress. However, the dress was so long on her that the hem was not visible. To look at the dress, you could not see the poor workmanship. I ordered the dress late so I had no choice but to keep the dress because I did not have time to shop for another dress. My daughter looked BEAUTIFUL in the dress! I wrote the company concerning the flaws and a month later, I have not heard from the company! This is a sign of poor customer service which matched the poor workmanship of the dress! I bought this in Sage green 2x and it looks spectacular with peacock feather earrings and bold red lipstick. It's a great design for curvy girls - it really works an hourglass figure - and makes one when you haven't got one. I ended up wishing my hips were a little bigger(!!) to fill out the dress to its potential, but that's the fault of my top-heavy, waist/hipless body, not the dress. What was really important for me was that there was enough give in the bust that I could wear it without looking smashed in, so it was worth it being a little roomy in the waist and hip. The sage green color was a little warmer toned than the picture suggests, and absolutely perfect for a green-eyed brunette with olive skin. The color was refreshing, I am getting so tired of black dresses! Big girls, give this dress a chance! Posted measurements seem to be right on. |
