The fabric is rich-looking, like hammered silk. The garment itself is well-constructed, with even seams and a quality zipper. I chose the sage color for a formal spring wedding reception. The color is just as pictured: a fresh, warm-toned green with a hint of olive iridescence. Boning in the bodice is light but effective, helping the neckline stay level and taut. The slight curve of the bodice front is very flattering for a large bust. The straight-cut back is supportive. I usually wear a size 18-20, so I ordered a 3X and it fits perfectly. On my 5'4" frame, the length is just above the ankle (cocktail length rather than tea length) and appropriate for my evening event. I will not use the included wrap, but it'll make a pretty table runner for some future dinner party! I read all the reviews carefully, as well as the size chart and ordered accordingly. I ordered 2 sizes up from my normal size. According to the sizing chart I should have ordered a XL. I ordered a 3X and it STILL didn't FIT!! I was so upset!! I was very worried about my bust not fitting but that wasn't the problem...the middle is very fitted, which I expected, but it wouldn't even zip! The dress is BEAUTIFUL...I was SO very upset that I couldn't wear it. I think this dress would look lovely on someone with not too many curves. The ONLY reason I am giving the dress 3 stars is the customer service I encountered at PacificPlex. They were SO understanding and make returning SO easy.
